Where and how can I get a copy of a marriage, birth or death certificate?

The Village of Tarrytown does not issue marriage licenses. They can only be obtained from cities and towns.

Any Registrar of Vital Statistics only issues birth and death certificates that occur within his/her jurisdiction; a $10.00 fee is charged for each copy. The Village of Tarrytown has death records dating back to 1887. With the closing of the Tarrytown Hospital circa 1956, most Tarrytown babies are born at Phelps Memorial Hospital in the neighboring Village of Sleepy Hollow.  You may contact the Village of Sleepy Hollow's registrar at 914-366-5110.
