Tarrytown is Getting More Serious About Recycling

TARRYTOWN IS GETTING MORE SERIOUS ABOUT RECYCLING

Beginning January 7, 2008, the Village of Tarrytown, in cooperation with Westchester County, will be more stringently enforcing the existing Recycling Law.  All garbage containers having household garbage mixed with any recyclable items will not be picked up by our Sanitation Department.  Instead, it will be left at the curb with an “OOPS” sticker, which indicates why it was not picked up.

We are urging all residents and businesses to cooperate with this very important program.  To help you with “what to recycle,” “how to recycle,” and “what not to recycle,” click on the link for a “Quick Recycling Reference.”

Thank you for your cooperation.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the highway garage at 914-631-0356.
