TARRYTOWN RECREATION EVENTS
Sat. October 13th - Scarecrow making 10:30 a.m.- 1:00p.m. At Patriot’s Park, we will be creating scarecrows w/ help from the community to decorate the inner Village. Bring some old clothes and plenty of enthusiasm.
Wed. October 17th - Halloween window painting held in conjunction with the Tarrytown /S.H. Arts Council. The downtown Village Rt. # 9 sector will be decorated w/ help from the merchants the event is held from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30p.m. Paint supplies and canvass provided.
Fri. October 19th - The Third Friday event is sponsored on Main St. and B’ Way. The Halloween theme will be highlighted throughout the evening. Music and Halloween activities will be in the offing.
Sat. October 20th - Pumpkin Hunt @ Patriot’s Park 1:30 p.m. Hunt for the great big pumpkin, prizes and fun for all ages.
Sat. October 20th - Rag-a-muffin Parade Assembly @ Patriot’s Park 1:45p.m. Sidewalk Parade steps off @ 2:00 p.m. proceeds to the Main St. Firehouse for candy and musical entertainment.
Sat. October 27th - The great Village-wide Halloween Parade will assemble @ Patriots’ Park at 4:30p.m. the parade steps off @ 5:30 p.m. and proceeds down route #9 to Main St. and ends at the Y.M.C.A. Floats are welcomed as well as walkers. Musical entertainment will be held after the parade on Main St. {Block Party} Rain-date [Sun. Oct. 28th.]
Sun. November 11th – {Pilgrim Run} Our annual four-mile road race will be held at Hackley School beginning at 12:00p.m. All runners should be registered by 11:00 a.m. on the morning of the race. Race awards and refreshments on hand.
Sat. Dec. 1st- The Village annual “Tree Lighting” will be held at Patriot’s Park 5:00p.m. start. A visit from Santa w/ presents, pictures and refreshments offered.
