How do I know if sporting events or Rec programs have been canceled?

Who do I make my checks out to for Rec Programs?

Checks for Recreation Programs should be made payable to The Village of Tarrytown

Can I pay for Rec programs with a credit card?

Unfortunately the Village does not accept credit cards at this time. All payments must be in cash or by check.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds will be made only when a class in canceled due to insufficient enrollment. The participant assumes the risk of all changes in personal and business affairs.

Can I Register for Rec Programs by Phone?

Registration by phone is not permitted. You may register by coming into the Recreation and Parks Department Office or by mail. Mail in registrations must include a completed and signed registration form and a check for the amount due.

Mondays:
Aerobics 1:00pm
Knitting Class 2:00-5:00
Book Club 3:00-5:00

Tuesday:
Pool 11:00am
Bingo: 1:00 on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month
Knitting 3:00-5:00

Wednesday:
Bunco 1:00pm
Movie Night 6:00pm

Fridays:
Aerobics 1:00pm

How can I get a program brochure?

Call the Rec Department at 631-8347 and we will mail one out to you.

Do I need a permit to picnic at the Village parks?

Yes, Contact the Rec Department at 631-8347

What jobs opportunities are there for summer employment?

There are many part time job opportunities available during the summer for individuals 16 years of age or older. Summer positions include Lifeguards, water safety instructors, cashiers, parks groundskeepers, counselors and specialist. Some positions are available on a half-day basis. There are volunteer positions for 15 year olds as Counselors-in-Training at the day camps and Lifeguards-in-Training at the pool. All applications are available at the Recreation Office.

Lifeguards/Water Safety Instructors - All applicants must be 16 years of age or older or hold current American Red Cross cards in Lifeguard Training, CPR for Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid. For application, please call the Recreation Office at 631-8347

Camp Counselors - All applicants must be 16 years of age and older and love to work with children.
