4.9.2021 - Tarrytown COVID-19 Update
We wanted to provide the Community with the brief COVID-19 Update.
Active Cases & Vaccine Distribution
At this time there are currently 65 active cases within the Village's borders. COVID-19 is still out there. Wear a mask (and put them in the garbage). Everyone's beat that drum enough that I think we know to wear a mask. If you want to follow Westchester Case load, visit the Westchester COVID-19 Case Tracker
Now is the time to roll-up your sleeves and get your vaccine! Everyone 16+ is eligible. If you're 16 or 17 you can only get the Pfizer at this time. Anyone 18+ is eligible for all three vaccines (Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna & Pfizer). You can actually track how the vaccine distribution is going by zip code. 4,995 vaccines have been given in 10591 (Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow Combined) so roughly 23% of our combined communities have been vaccinated. But where can I get the Vaccine?
We know getting the vaccine can be a frustrating endeavor. Luckily, the Town of Greenburgh is sponsoring a COVID angel program that helps those who are having difficulty finding appointments. If you need assistance, register for the program. If you're an older adult and/or disabled and need a ride to a vaccine site, Westchester County Para transit is assisting with rides to vaccine sites.
If you're technologically inclined and continue to search on your own, here are some resources locally where you can get the vaccine (this is by no means an exhaustive list, the Angels really know all the nooks & crannies to look in for the vaccine):
