COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic – A story...
Starting at 7am and ending around 7pm same day, over 680 people (30 more than originally anticipated) were vaccinated at the Pop-up clinic held at the Sleepy Hollow school campus. It was quite the ordeal with 65-70 persons per hour receiving their first dose COVID-19 vaccine. Those who received a dose Saturday, March 20th will receive a 2nd dose on Saturday, April 17th. You can only receive a dose at the 2nd clinic if you received one at the first. Emails will be sent directly to those with appointments.
We also wanted to share our appreciation to all involved with this heavy-lift project…
To the Rite Aid Corporation – for providing over 680 doses of the Vaccine in the fight against COVID
To the Rite Aid Pharmacists for working tirelessly throughout the day – with a very special shout out as we think they basically only took one ten-minute break each to make sure those on line got in and out as quickly as possible… truly a superhero effort
To the Tarrytown Union Free School District – for providing a space for the vaccine that allowed for max efficiency
To Sleepy Hollow Village - for helping with the prep & sign-ups for the event, providing Police & EMS Support, and helping run the site from start to finish
To Tarrytown Recreation – for helping with prep for the event, sign-ups for the event, and helping run the site from start to finish
To Tarrytown PD – for helping with site security
To Northwell Health/Phelps Hospital – for providing much needed wheelchairs and privacy screens for the clinic
To the over 75 volunteers – thank you for your commitment to this event and community
To our volunteers who helped coordinate the event – thank you for your guidance and perseverance
To the Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns – for providing 750 face masks for the event
To our State Elected Officials - thank you for visiting the site, honoring the Villages, and recognizing the pharmacy and pharmacists for their hard work
To the 680+ people who received the vaccine – thank you for your patience as we worked throughout the day to get you in and out quickly and safely (COVID style)
