The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) paving project on Rt. 9 is complete. The only remaining element of the project is the installation of a Rapid Flashing Beacon light for pedestrians which was delayed due to a delay in delivery of the equipment, and will be installed once the equipment arrives.
The Village has received queries about parking spaces removed in the course of the re-striping of the roadways. In two locations, parking spaces did not meet DOT regulations. We will follow up regarding what adjustments need to be made in order for the parking spaces to be re-instated. In the meantime, the adjoining meters have been nagged and the parking spaces are not to be used.
Paving on Benedict Next Week
