Good Conduct Letter

A letter of good conduct is a criminal history search within the Village of Tarrytown for current residents and non-residents that work or have worked or lived in the Village. Once a criminal history search has been conducted, a letter will be prepared stating any criminal history the individual has had within the Village, with the exception of any / all sealed records unless disclosure is requested by the individual.

The good conduct letter can be picked up within 3-5 business days at Police Headquarters with the proper identification. Individuals must apply in person at Tarrytown Village Hall, One Depot Plaza, Tarrytown NY and produce a valid photo ID.

You cannot request another individual's criminal history. The current fee is $30.

For non-residents: the address within the village where you once lived or worked must also be provided.
