Detective Division

The Detective Division is comprised of one detective sergeant and three detectives who are specially trained in the detection, investigation and apprehension of criminal offenders. The Detective Division is responsible for conducting criminal investigations for a wide range of offenses, including crimes against persons and crimes against property.

The Detective Division is responsible for the processing of crime scenes and the collection and retention of evidence. The Detective Division also includes one patrol officer who is assigned to the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, which is a multi-jurisdictional unit that combats issues pertaining to all levels of drug and alcohol offenses. The Detective Division operates under the command of Lieutenant Gregory Budnar.
