What is the procedure for obtaining a building permit for the removal of an oil tank?
PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING A BUILDING PERMIT FOR REMOVAL OF AN OIL TANK
Submission of a building permit application with appropriate fee and the following:
- General Contractor to submit a Certificate of Insurance for Workmen's compensation with the Village named as "Certificate Holder".
- Location plan of tank to be removed (to scale). If tank is underground, said plan shall be developed from a current property survey/plot plan by a licensed land surveyor. (File in triplicate)
- Project specifications on work to be done which are in compliance with D.E.C. 614 and N.F.P.A. #31 regulations. (File in triplicate)
When compliance with items above has been shown a Building Permit will be issued.
Plans/specifications are reviewed on the basis of first come first served.
