COVID-19 Update 4.8.2020
Posted on: April 8, 2020 - 3:43pm
Dear Neighbor,
We wanted to provide the community with a covid-19 update.
- As the coronavirus situation continues, it is critical for first responders (Police, Ambulance and Fire Services) to have the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the COVID-19 status of those we are assisting. While communication between Tarrytown emergency service providers and County, State and Federal partners continues, we would appreciate any resident to self-report his or her COVID-19 status when appropriate. If you have tested positive, please email us at tarrytownpolice@tarrytowngov.com, or contact the Police Department at (914) 631-5544 and speak with the desk officer. The specific information we are asking you to provide is your name, address and date you tested positive for COVID-19. Your information will only be released to first responders in the event that they are dispatched to your home.
- Information regarding Covid-19 actions and rules can be found on the front page of the Village website here: https://www.tarrytowngov.com/home/news/covid-19-information
- The CDC recommends everyone wear a cloth facial covering during mandatory social distancing while out in public
- All members of the public must comply with the 6-foot social distancing requirements, including in all our parks, and fines go up to $1,000 for non-compliance.
- Everyone is reminded to fill out your Census form either online or mail it in. Answering the Census is important because it means an estimated $2,500 per person per year for schools, police, sanitation and other key services
