Residents and businesses advised to run water to flush sediments

Following up on the water main break, the Village is receiving a number of reports of brown and discolored water, caused by disturbed silt and sediment in the water mains.

The water is safe to drink, cook and shower with, although it is not pleasant to look at.

Residents and businesses are advised to run the water – it’s best to do so in tubs or faucets that do not have screens or aerators like your kitchen - to flush out the disturbed silt and sediment.

The Village also recommends postponing doing any laundry until the water runs clear again.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
