Below are helpful links & information that Con Edison has shared for our residents:

On behalf of Con Edison the Village of Tarrytown is providing you with the following information regarding life-support equipment registration.

It is important that Con Edison have a record of everyone who uses electrically operated life-support equipment or has a medical emergency so that Con Edison can contact him or her in an emergency. This service is offered to everyone who depends on the electricity Con Edison delivers to operate life-support equipment or for whom a disruption in service would create a medical emergency. This includes people who do not receive a bill from Con Edison because electric service is included in their rent.  If you or a loved one use life-support equipment, please register your equipment with Con Edison by visiting their website, www.conEd.com/SpecialServices or by calling 1-800-75-CONED (1-800-752-6633).

Storm Hardening Info for Tarrytown  For Tarrytown in 2022, we are planning to split the Tarrytown autoloop. The tarrytown autoloop provides power to approximately 2100 customers. The current configuration is….. it has 2 primary feeder sources with 7 automatic scada switches. With the new design we are going to create the Benedict autoloop, introduce two more primary feeder sources and install 9 more Scada  smart switches which will help in segmenting the customer count. That way a given storm event will reduce the number of customers out between smart switches. We will also be upgrading several poles and wires along the way. This project is going to start construction in the next month (we actually have the permits already) and is estimated to cost $2.2M.

Replace 25 poles, 93 spans of primary open wire(13kv), install 9 scada smart switches, 13 overhead transformers.
